About Monster Genocide

Monster Genocide is the reboot of a 5 episode sci fi audio adventure show of the same name written and produced by writer A. Bradley Green from 2003-2006. The show gained regional popularity with listening parties at horror conventions and had an interactive website where fans could join in on conversation and role play as characters in the storyline.

The new Monster Genocide has been redesigned with decades of detailed world building to create an epic saga driven by cinematic sound effects and actors to tell the most extraordinary and unique stories you’ve ever heard.

Monster Genocide builds from the nostalgia of golden age radio entertainment for a modern podcast loving, audio books audience. Listeners will enjoy interactive content prompted by the Science Fiction audio show using classic props like the Super Exclusive Super Secret Decoder Ring where they will be able to access exclusive content and special prizes.

History of classic radio shows

The Golden Age of Radio

“The Golden Age of Radio, also known as the old-time radio (OTR) era, was an era of radio in the United States where it was the dominant electronic home entertainment medium. It began with the birth of commercial radio broadcasting in the early 1920s and lasted through the 1950s, when television gradually superseded radio as the medium of choice for scripted programming, variety and dramatic shows.” - Wikipedia

The First Broadcast Medium

“Radio was the first broadcast medium, and during this period people regularly tuned in to their favorite radio programs, and families gathered to listen to the home radio in the evening. According to a 1947 C. E. Hooper survey, 82 out of 100 Americans were found to be radio listeners.[1] A variety of new entertainment formats and genres were created for the new medium, many of which later migrated to television: radio plays, mystery serials, soap operas, quiz shows, talent shows, daytime and evening variety hours, situation comedies, play-by-play sports, children's shows, cooking shows, and more.” - Wikipedia
